You know the drill.
The alarm clock goes off, you hit snooze a few times, next thing you know you’re late getting to where you need be in turn beating yours;f for smashing that snooze button so many times.
Or, you ate well all week and the weekend came and it was time that you felt you needed a break for being so good. You do it, and then you feel guilty about doing it.
We tend to justify things for the sake of making ourselves feel better.
I’ll start tomorrow.
I’ll start next week.
I don’t have the time.
It’s just one pizza.
It was a hard day.
I ask you today, where is the stopping point? It’s this type of behavior that keeps us from winning, that keeps us from getting where we want to go.
Usually we have to give up something to get what we want in return. You give up some calories to lose weight. You give up some free time to be in the gym longer and get more fit.
This goes the other way too, and we never even bat an eye at it. You give up your health by eating what you want. You give up your fitness by wanting to spend more time on the couch.
That shit is easy. It’s real fucking easy to just do nothing.
Stuff that is hard…requires sacrifice, determination, grit, fortitude, and a backing of your personal self and you have to get our of your own way to get it.
Stop being your own worst enemy.
